What Our 10-Year Warranty Covers

This warranty covers the labor and installation services performed by the JSM Custom Remodels team within the confines of your apartment. If an issue arises from a defect in our workmanship, we will provide the labor to correct it at no cost. Our coverage is tailored for the NYC apartment environment:

Custom Millwork & Cabinetry  Installation and structural integrity of all custom and stock cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural millwork.

Flooring & Tile Installation  Precision installation of hardwood, engineered flooring, and all tile work (floors, walls, and backsplashes), ensuring level surfaces and durable grout lines.

Internal Plumbing & Electrical  Workmanship related to plumbing and electrical systems installed by our team within your apartment’s walls, from the building’s point of connection (riser/panel) to your fixtures.

Wall & Ceiling Finishes – Durability of our wall prep, plastering, and flawless skim coating services.

Waterproofing – The installation of all waterproofing membranes in showers, baths, and other wet areas to protect your home from moisture damage.

Our Commitment & Conditions

To ensure clarity and a successful long-term partnership in a multi-residence building, please note:

Building Infrastructure  This warranty is limited to the workmanship for systems inside your unit. It does not cover failures of building-wide infrastructure, including but not limited to, central plumbing risers, building-wide electrical systems, or the building’s common structural elements.

External Factors Damage originating from adjacent units (e.g., leaks) or from work performed by building management or other third parties is not covered.

Manufacturer Warranties Materials, high-end appliances, and fixtures are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties. We will assist in coordinating claims with suppliers.

Normal Wear & Tear  The warranty does not cover issues arising from normal wear and tear (e.g., minor settling cracks, scuffs on floors, paint touch-ups) or lack of homeowner maintenance.

Transferability  We are proud to offer a one-time transfer of this warranty to a new owner should you sell your apartment within the first five years, adding significant documented value to your property at the time of sale.
